Filtering and View Options
Each report in Quicken Simplifi (except Monthly Summary) includes breakdown and/or filtering options to help you focus on the data that matters most. Some reports also offer multiple view options for different ways of analyzing your finances.
Report Breakdown & Views
For example, the Spending and Income reports can be broken down by category, account, tag, or payee, and include both Summary and Transaction views so you can switch between high-level insights and detailed data. The Income & Expense report offers additional display options, such as time period and account views, for more flexible analysis. The Net Worth report includes interval options that let you view changes in your net worth in the way that’s most meaningful to you.
Display Customization Options
Most reports also include display customization options to improve readability. These may include the ability to show expenses as negative values, hide cents, adjust row height, or enable alternating row colors for easier scanning.
Date Range & Filters
You can adjust the date range for any report by using the date range filter at the top of the page. Additional filters can be applied by selecting the Filters button at the top of each report to refine results by criteria such as account, category, tag, or payee.
Transaction View Customization
Within the Transaction Activity sections of reports, you can further customize the data displayed. To access this view, click into a payee, category, or similar item to open the underlying transactions. From there, you can select the gear icon in the upper-right corner to add or remove columns. You can also hover over column headers to access additional options, such as adjusting column width, pinning columns, or applying filters.
Graph View Options
Some reports include graph view options, such as switching between pie and bar charts. You can also collapse the graph in any report that includes one.
Persistent Customizations
Any customizations you make to views, filters, or columns are automatically saved for each report. These settings persist across sessions and platforms, so your customized view will remain in place the next time you open the report, whether on web or mobile. If you want to revert to the original setup, you can select Reset report at the top of the page to restore the default view.
Note: Not all reports offer the same breakdown, view, date range, or filter options. If a specific option isn’t available, it’s because that report doesn’t support it. The Monthly Summary report does not include any customization or filtering options.
