Overview
Quicken Simplifi doesn't include an option to reset all data. To start over, you'll need to delete each account or financial institution individually. Once all accounts have been removed, you can begin setting up your finances again from scratch.
How to Delete Your Accounts
Click the Settings (gear) icon in the upper-right corner.
Select Accounts.
Find the financial institution you want to remove and click the three-dot menu next to it.
Select Delete Institution, then click Delete again to confirm.
After you delete all of your accounts, your Spending Plan will be empty. Your historical data and recurring reminders will also be permanently removed.
Any custom categories and tags you've created will remain. To remove them, see How to Delete a Category or Subcategory or How to Delete a Tag.
After you delete all of your accounts, your Dashboard will be empty. To start again, click + New next to Accounts on the Dashboard to add your accounts back.
Need to Completely Remove Your Data?
If you'd like to permanently delete your entire Quicken Simplifi dataset, including all data you've entered, please contact our support team. They can perform a full dataset deletion so you can start over with a new, empty dataset.
A full dataset deletion permanently removes all data stored in Quicken Simplifi, including your accounts, transactions, recurring series, Watchlists, Savings Goals, Spending Plan data, and any other saved information.
After the deletion is complete, you'll be taken through the Getting Started setup the next time you sign in.
Want All of Your Data Removed From Quicken's Systems?
If you'd like all of your data permanently removed from Quicken's systems, not just your Quicken Simplifi dataset, you can submit a request through our CCPA data deletion process. The request form is available here.
Note: CCPA deletion requests can be submitted by residents of any U.S. state, not just California.
A CCPA data deletion request permanently removes all online data associated with your Quicken ID, including data synced to the cloud. It also deletes your user profile and subscription records.
After the deletion is complete:
Quicken Simplifi will no longer be accessible using that Quicken ID.
The deleted Quicken ID cannot be used to create a new subscription.
All deleted data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
Because a CCPA data deletion request permanently removes your Quicken account and data, make sure you no longer plan to use any Quicken products before submitting the request.
