Welcome to Quicken Simplifi! This article will help you get started with setting up your account. When you sign in for the first time, Quicken Simplifi will guide you through a short setup process and ask a few questions about your finances. Your answers will help customize the app and provide a more personalized experience.

Note: You must add an account to complete the Getting Started process and access Quicken Simplifi. If you prefer not to connect an account, you can add a manual account instead. Learn how here.


Adding Accounts

To get started, add your accounts to Quicken Simplifi. You can add either connected or manual accounts, and you can always add more accounts later if needed.

Quicken Simplifi Business & Personal: The setup process is slightly different. Instead of being prompted to add an account first, you'll be asked to add your business. If you're not ready to do so, you can skip this step and add your business later.


Confirm your Bills and Income

After adding your accounts, Quicken Simplifi will help you set up your Bills and Income. It will review your downloaded transactions and suggest recurring bills and income items. You can remove any suggestions that don't apply and add any missing items as needed.

Quicken Simplifi uses this information to create Recurring Transactions, which help build your Spending Plan and Projected Cash Flow. By knowing your expected bills and income, Quicken Simplifi can help forecast your future account balances.

If a bill or income item is missed during setup, you can add or edit your Recurring Transactions at any time from the Settings menu in Quicken Simplifi.

Once you've confirmed your recurring bills and income, you'll be taken to the Dashboard.


Using Quicken Simplifi

Quicken Simplifi is designed to make managing your finances simple. Here's a quick overview of the menu options and what they do:

  • Dashboard: Is your home page in Quicken Simplifi. Each time you sign in, you'll be taken there automatically, giving you a quick overview of your finances.

  • Transactions: View your accounts and manage transactions.

  • Net Worth: Provides a snapshot of your overall financial position by showing your assets and liabilities in one place.

  • Spending Plan: View your bills, income, planned expenses, and the amount you have available to spend for the month.

  • Savings Goals: Set savings goals and track your progress as you work toward them.

  • Bills & Income: View your upcoming bills, income, and other recurring transactions.

  • Planning Tools: Explore retirement savings scenarios and see how different choices may affect your future finances.

  • Investments: Check out how your holdings are performing.

  • Watchlist: Create and manage spending targets to help track and monitor specific categories of expenses.

  • Reports: View detailed information about your spending, income, and overall finances.

  • Refresh: Update your accounts to download the latest transactions.

Quicken Simplifi Business & Personal: The menu includes four additional tabs that provide tools and features specifically designed for managing your business finances.


Navigation menu

In the upper-right corner of Quicken Simplifi, you'll find several important icons that provide quick access to key features and settings.

  • Notifications: View recent notifications.

  • Help Center: Search support articles or access help from Quicken Simplifi Coaches.

  • Settings: Manage your accounts, categories & tags, notification settings, recurring transactions, and transaction rules.

  • Profile: Sign out of Quicken Simplifi, access help articles and community, check achievements, and manage your Quicken Simplifi Account.


Frequently Asked Questions

Does Quicken Simplifi offer business features?

Quicken Simplifi does not include business management features. If you need tools for managing a business, consider Quicken Business & Personal. It allows you to create and send invoices, track clients and projects, and monitor business income and expenses.

Can I erase my data and start over?

While Quicken Simplifi does not offer a feature to delete all of your data at once, you can manually delete all of your accounts if you want to start over.
