Overview
In Quicken Simplifi, accounts can be either Connected or Manual:
Connected accounts are linked to your bank or financial institution. Transactions and balances are updated automatically.
Manual accounts are not linked to a bank. You enter transactions and balances yourself—ideal for tracking cash, offline accounts, or accounts from unsupported banks.
If you'd like to stop syncing a bank account and track it manually in Quicken Simplifi, you can switch any account to manual mode. Follow the next steps to get started.
Switch a Connected Account to Manual
Tap the Menu (three-line icon).
Select Settings and then Accounts.
Locate the Account you'd like to make "manual" and tap the three dots at the end of it.
Select Make manual.
Tap Make Manual to confirm.
Once done, the account will be moved down to the Manual Accounts section.
Switch a Manual Account to Connected
Tap the Menu (three-line icon).
Select Accounts.
Tap the plus (+) button in the upper right.
Search for the financial institution that you want to connect with.
When the list of accounts is presented from the bank, carefully link the accounts found to your existing manual account.
