Overview
You may sometimes need to link existing accounts in Quicken Simplifi, such as when connecting a manual account or reconnecting a disconnected one. Doing this helps prevent duplicate accounts. This article explains how to link accounts while keeping your current connections.
Linking Accounts
After you enter your credentials, Quicken Simplifi will show a list of the accounts it found. This list includes the account name, account number, account type, and the action Quicken Simplifi will take.
At this point, be sure to link each account correctly. Choosing Nothing (Add as new) can create duplicate accounts, and linking the wrong account can cause transaction and balance errors.
To link the found accounts to your existing accounts, follow these steps:
Select the pencil icon next to each account.
Tap the Link to drop-down menu.
Select the existing account from the list.
Tap Update, then tap Confirm after selecting each account.
