Overview
Adding your accounts is the key to getting the most out of Quicken Simplifi. When your bank, credit cards, loans, and other accounts are connected, it can automatically track your spending, monitor upcoming bills, calculate your net worth, and give you a clear picture of your finances.
Quicken Simplifi is powered by a network of over 14,000 financial institutions. If you can't connect your account, you can track it manually, and also monitor the value of your assets, such as property or investments.
Whether youโre adding a connected or a manual account, the steps below will show you how.
Note: For a complete list of supported account types, please refer to the article What Account Types Are Supported in Quicken Simplifi?
Add a Connected Account
Link directly to your bank for automatic updates of transactions and balances.
Tap the Menu (three-line icon).
Select Accounts.
Tap the plus (+) button in the upper right.
If your bank is already shown, you can tap on the image to select it, or just begin typing the name of the bank into the Search bar to let Quicken Simplifi find it.
Once you've selected your bank, you'll see a message regarding consent. Tap Continue.
Enter the user ID and password you use to sign in to your bank's website, then tap Link Account.
Quicken Simplifi will locate the account(s) associated with your user ID and password and will display the account name and type, as well as a checkbox to add or ignore each account.
To disregard any of the accounts, uncheck the box to the right of the account name.
You can edit the name and type for each account by clicking the pencil icon.
Tap Confirm when finished.
Once the connection is established, Quicken Simplifi typically downloads the last 90 days of transactions when you first connect an account.
Once done, the account(s) will show in your Accounts List.
Add a Manual Account
If the bank you want to add is not listed, you can still add it manually.
Tap the Menu (three-line icon).
Select Accounts.
Tap the plus (+) button in the upper right.
Select Add account at the bottom-right corner.
Enter an account name, and select an account type. You can also enter a balance with an "as-of" date, a value, etc., depending on the account type.
Tap Confirm when finished.
The manual account will now appear in your Accounts List. Since the account is manual, the Transaction Activity will be blank, but you can start adding transactions whenever you're ready!
