Overview
Quicken Simplifi lets you track expected refunds so you can keep track of the money you're waiting to receive. You can record a refund, enter its expected date, and link it to a downloaded transaction when the refund arrives.
Track a Refund
Tap the Menu icon (three lines).
Select Bills & Income, then tap the Refunds tab at the top.
Tap Track a Refund.
Enter the payee, amount, and expected refund date. Then select the account and category.
If needed, add a note or attachment.
Tap Submit.
Link a Refund to a Transaction
Quicken Simplifi can automatically link downloaded transactions to expected refunds. If a refund hasn't been linked automatically, you can link it manually.
Note: Manually entered transactions cannot be linked to refunds at this time.
Tap the Menu icon (three lines).
Select Bills & Income, then tap the Refunds tab.
Locate the refund you want to link and tap it.
Select Mark as Received.
Locate the downloaded transaction you want to link to the refund and tap it.
Tap Apply in the upper-right corner.
Quicken Simplifi will link the downloaded transaction to the expected refund and update the transaction's payee and category to match the information entered for the refund.
Unlink a Refund from a Transaction
Tap the Menu icon (three lines).
Select Bills & Income, then tap the Refunds tab.
Locate the refund you want to unlink and tap it.
Select Mark as Not Received.
Tap Continue to confirm.
Once the refund is unlinked, Quicken Simplifi will revert any changes made to the transaction's payee and category when the refund was linked.
Edit or Delete a Refund
Note: Only refunds marked as Expected can be edited or deleted. Refunds marked as Completed cannot be changed or deleted.
Tap the Menu icon (three lines).
Select Bills & Income, then tap the Refunds tab.
Locate the refund you want to edit or delete and tap it.
Tap the pencil icon in the upper-right corner.
To edit the refund, make your changes and tap Save.
To delete the refund, scroll down and tap Delete, then tap Delete again to confirm.
