Overview
If transactions are missing from Quicken Simplifi, several things could be causing the issue. They may be hidden by the sort order, search settings, or filters, assigned to a different account, or not yet downloaded from your bank.
First, check whether the sort order on your Transaction Activity has changed
A changed sort order can make recent transactions harder to find. For example, sorting by Category groups transactions by category instead of date.
In the Transaction Activity screen, tap the Filter icon in the upper-right corner.
Tap Reset to restore the default sort order.
Note: Clicking Reset will also clear any filter selections, so if you'd like to just restore the default sort order, you can select to sort by Pending to Cleared instead.
Are your transactions missing because you can't connect to your bank?
If your bank connection isn’t working and recent transactions aren’t downloading, you can add transactions manually to keep your spending and account balances up to date in Quicken Simplifi.
Tap the Menu (three-line icon).
Select Accounts.
Select the account you want to add a transaction to.
Tap + Transaction in the upper-right corner.
Enter the Payee and Amount.
Make sure the correct account is selected in the Account dropdown.
Set the transaction to Pending until it clears your bank.
Enter any additional details, such as the Date, Category, Tags, Splits, or Notes.
Tap Create.
Are your transactions hidden by a previous search?
Quicken Simplifi’s search feature helps you find transactions quickly. However, an old search filter may still be applied, making it look like transactions are missing.
Navigate to the Search transaction field.
Tap the X icon to clear the search.
Are your transactions hidden by filters?
If there are no previous searches in the Search Transactions field, check whether any filters are active. Filters help you narrow down transactions, but active filters can hide transactions you expect to see.
In the All Transactions screen, tap the three-line menu icon to the right of the Search Transactions field.
Tap Reset in the upper-right corner.
Did you assign a manual transaction to the wrong account?
When adding a transaction manually, it’s easy to select the wrong account. If a transaction seems to be missing, check that it was added to the correct account in Quicken Simplifi.
Tap the Menu (three-line icon).
Select Transactions.
Search for the missing transaction.
If you find it, tap the transaction, update the Account field, and tap Update.
If you can’t find the transaction, continue with the steps below.
Was your transaction incorrectly matched?
Quicken Simplifi can match downloaded transactions with manually entered transactions or recurring transactions. If a transaction was matched incorrectly, it may appear that the transaction is missing.
If you believe the transaction was never added, manually enter the missing transaction to update your Transaction Activity.
Was your transaction recently deleted in error?
If you accidentally deleted a downloaded transaction, it may not download again during a subsequent account update.
If the transaction is missing because it was deleted, you may need to enter it manually to restore your records. Before doing so, verify that the transaction isn't already present in another account or under a different search or filter setting.
Are you missing a transaction from a previous year?
Quicken Simplifi may display only a limited period of transaction history by default. If you're looking for an older transaction, check the date range.
Tap the info icon (i) underneath the Transaction Activity view.
Are the missing transactions older than 90 days?
If this is your first time downloading transactions for an account, keep in mind that most banks only allow about 90 days of transaction history to be downloaded into Quicken Simplifi.
If your missing transactions are more than three months old, they may not download automatically.
Are the missing transactions still pending with the bank?
Pending transactions may not appear in Quicken Simplifi right away. Depending on your bank, they may download immediately, take a few days, or only appear once they clear.
This is especially common over weekends. If a recent transaction is missing, wait a day to see if it downloads.
The following banks do not support downloading pending transactions into Quicken Simplifi:
Capital One
USAA
