Updating Your Bank Login Information

Learn how to update the bank login information for connected accounts in Quicken Simplifi!

Overview

If you've recently updated your bank login information, be sure to update it in Quicken Simplifi to continue downloading transactions. Fortunately, Quicken Simplifi makes this process quick and easy!


Automatic Prompt

The easiest way to update your bank login information in Quicken Simplifi is to wait for the first successful account refresh after updating your credentials. At that point, Quicken Simplifi should automatically prompt you to enter your new credentials. If you are not prompted, a refresh is likely unavailable but should occur within 4 hours.


Manually Update Your Bank Login Information

To manually update your bank login information in Quicken Simplifi, reset the account connection for the financial institution and enter your new login information when prompted.

Instructions for Web

  1. On the bottom left, click on the Settings gear icon.

  2. Select Accounts.

  3. Locate the financial institution to update and click the three dots to the right of it.

  4. Click Reset connection.

    • Your accounts will now be disconnected and if you do not want to link your accounts to your bank, you will need to track them manually.

  5. Enter the User ID and Password you use to sign in to your bank's website, then click Connect.

    • If your account uses the OAuth connection, click Continue and follow the onscreen instructions.

  6. When your accounts are shown, match and link your online accounts to their corresponding accounts in Quicken Simplifi.

    • If you need additional assistance with linking your accounts, click here.

    • To ignore unwanted accounts in Quicken Simplifi, uncheck the box next to them.

  7. Click Add.

Instructions for Mobile

  1. On the top left, tap on the three-lined menu icon.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select Accounts.

  4. Locate the financial institution to update and tap on the three dots to the right of it.

  5. Tap Reset connection.

  6. Tap Reset.

    • Your accounts will now be disconnected and if you do not want to link your accounts to your bank, you will need to track them manually.

  7. Enter the User ID and Password you use to sign in to your bank's website, then tap Link Account.

    • If your account uses the OAuth connection, click Continue and follow the onscreen instructions

  8. When your accounts are shown, match and link your online accounts to their corresponding accounts in Quicken Simplifi.

    • If you need additional assistance with linking your accounts, click here.

    • To ignore unwanted accounts in Quicken Simplifi, uncheck the box next to them.

  9. Tap Confirm.
