Overview

When you connect your bank to Quicken Simplifi, your accounts with that bank are updated every time you sign in. If you’ve connected a bank but prefer not to have it update daily — or if you receive a multi-factor authentication (MFA) prompt every time you sign in — you can adjust the update frequency in Quicken Simplifi.

Note: Updating these settings applies to the entire bank and cannot be set for individual accounts.

Managing Your Connection Updates

To manage when a bank updates in Quicken Simplifi:

  1. Move your cursor to the top right and click Settings (gear icon).

  2. Click Accounts.

  3. Locate the bank you want to update and click on the three dots to the right of it.

  4. Click Manage updates.

  5. Select the Set Max Update Interval that works best for you.

    • The intervals available are Always, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Never (manual refresh only).

  6. Click Save Updates.

Once you update the interval for your accounts with a specific bank, an icon will appear on your Dashboard under Accounts—both to the left of the affected accounts and in the top-left corner. Clicking this icon lets you change the update interval for that bank.

If you want to update your account(s) outside of the bank's update interval, click Refresh on the lower left.

Alternatively, you can click into an account and on the top left, click on Updated. This will update all the accounts with that specific bank.
