How to Manage Business Accounts In Quicken Business & Personal

Managing your business details in Quicken Business & Personal is essential for keeping your financial records accurate and professional. Whether you're updating your business name, uploading a logo for invoices, or setting a primary business, this guide walks you through each step—both on web and mobile.

Note: Please keep in mind that Payable and Receivable Accounts cannot be deleted once created in Quicken Business & Personal. This also applies if you later downgrade to Quicken Simplifi. This is a permanent, intentional feature.


Edit Your Business Details

If you made a structural change in your organization, updated your business contact information, or changed your business name, Quicken Business & Personal has you covered.

Instructions for Web

  1. Hover over the left panel and click the Settings gear icon at the bottom left corner of the screen.

  2. Under Settings, click on Businesses.

  3. On the far right of the business you want to edit, click on the three-dot icon.

  4. Click Edit business.

  5. Review your business's details and make edits as needed.

  6. When finished, click Save.

Instructions for Mobile

  1. Tap the Menu (three-line icon).

  2. At the bottom left corner, tap Settings.

  3. Under Settings, tap Businesses.

  4. Tap on the business you want to edit to open the Edit business screen.

    • You can also tap the three-dot icon to the right of the business and select Edit Business.

  5. Review your business's details and make edits as needed.

  6. When finished, click Save.


How to Set a Business as Your Primary Business (If You Have Multiple Businesses)

Setting a primary business marks it as your main one for display purposes only; it does not affect functionality or reporting.

Instructions for Web

  1. Hover over the left panel and click the Settings gear icon at the lower left of the screen.

  2. Under Settings, click on Businesses.

  3. On the far right of the business you want to edit, click on the three-dot icon.

  4. Click Set as primary business.

Instructions for Mobile

  1. Tap the Menu (three-line icon).

  2. Under Settings, tap on the Businesses tab.

  3. On the far right of the business you want to edit, tap on the three-dot icon.

  4. Tap Set as primary business.

  5. Tap Update.


How to Add a Business Logo to an Existing Business

With Quicken Business & Personal, you can upload your unique business logo and have it automatically applied to all customer invoices and credit memos.

Note: Business logo files must be PNG or SVG format, no larger than 2MB, and have maximum dimensions of 225 pixels wide by 100 pixels high.

Instructions for Web

  1. Hover over the left panel and click the Settings gear icon at the bottom left corner of the screen.

  2. Under Settings, click Businesses.

  3. On the far right of the business you want to edit, click on the three-dot icon.

  4. Click Edit business.

  5. In the Upload logo field, click the Upload button.

  6. Navigate to and select your desired business logo image file and click Open.

  7. The Upload logo field will display a preview of the image.
    Note: If you would like to remove the uploaded file, click the small X to the right of the image.

  8. Click Save when you are satisfied with the upload.

Instructions for Mobile

  1. Tap the Menu (three-line icon).

  2. At the bottom left corner, tap Settings.

  3. Under Settings, tap Businesses.

  4. On the far right of the business you want to edit, tap on the three-dot icon.

  5. Tap on the Upload logo field.

  6. Select the source for your logo: From Library or Choose Files.

    Note: If you need to delete the image, tap the X to the right of the image in the upload logo field.

  7. Tap Update when you are satisfied with the upload.
