How to Share Your Quicken Simplifi Data

Learn how to share your Quicken Simplifi data with family and friends using Space Sharing

Overview

You can now share your financial data with another individual, such as a significant other or a financial advisor, using Space Sharing! With Space Sharing, you can give full access to your data with one additional member, with just an invite, without having to share your login credentials. All the other individual needs to do is create a Quicken ID, which you can do for free, and accept your invite!

At this time, Invitees will need to sign in using the Web App; if they try to sign in on the Mobile App, they will be prompted to sign up for a Subscription. No need to worry if they opened the invite from the Mobile App, though! They can simply navigate back to the email invitation and open it on a web browser to proceed.

Note: Limited access capabilities, such as sharing specific accounts or features, are not currently available, but may become available for Space Sharing in the future.

Invite a Member

You can share your Quicken Simplifi data with one additional member, who will need to have their own Quicken ID and password, but who do not need to have their own Quicken Simplifi Subscription.

  1. Hover over the panel on the left-hand side and select Settings.

  2. Select Spaces & sharing.

  3. Locate your Financial Space and click the three dots to the upper right of it.

  4. Select Invite member.

  5. Enter the member's First Name, Last Name, and Email, and then click Invite.

    1. If the member already has a Quicken ID, you must use their existing email address. However,

    2. If the member does not already have a Quicken ID, they'll need to create one for the email address used in this step.

  6. Once the invite is sent, you'll receive a confirmation email, and the additional member will receive an email inviting them to your space. The member will need to select Accept Invitation from the email that's sent to them.

  7. Once the member accepts the invitation, they'll be able to sign in to Quicken Simplifi using their Quicken ID and password. At this point, the member will be accessing and using your Quicken Simplifi data.

If the member you're sharing with already has their own Quicken Simplifi Subscription and Space, they'll be able to switch between your Space and theirs. This also applies to someone sharing their Space with you -- you'll be able to switch between their Space and yours.

To switch between Spaces:

  1. Select the three dots to the upper right of the Space you'd like to view.

  2. Click Switch to this space.

You can also leave a Space that's being shared with you:

  1. Select the three dots to the upper right of the Space you'd like to leave.

  2. Click Leave this space.

Note: If you have an active Quicken Simplifi Subscription and someone is sharing their Space with you, you will be able to switch between their space and yours on the Quicken Simplifi Mobile App from the Profile menu (person icon at the upper right of the Dashboard). All other Space Sharing features/abilities are currently not available from the Mobile App.


Managing Your Space

With Space Sharing, you now have the option to manage your own Quicken Simplifi Space. You can edit your Space by:

  1. Select the three dots to the upper right of your Space.

  2. Click Update this space.

  3. From here, you can change the Name of your Quicken Simplifi Space, as well as the Zip code.

You can also manage the additional members that have access to your Space by:

  1. Selecting the three dots to the upper right of your Space.

  2. Click Manage members.

  3. Select the three dots to the right of the Member you'd like to remove.

  4. Click Remove, and then click Continue to confirm.

Note: Removed members will receive an email notification stating that they have been removed.
