Overview
picture. Sometimes, transactions are included that shouldn’t be—or excluded when they should count—making your data less accurate.
Simplifi lets you control which transactions appear in your reports and Spending Plan. By adjusting these settings, you can ensure your information aligns with your goals and gives you a clear view of your finances.
Exclude a Transaction
Please note that excluding transactions from Reports will automatically exclude them from Watchlists as well.
Tap the Menu (three-line icon).
Select Accounts.
Select the account that has the transaction you'd like to exclude.
Locate the transaction you'd like to exclude and click on it.
Scroll down to the Exclude from section.
Check the Spending Plan or Reports box(es), whichever applies.
Tap Update when done.
Quicken Simplifi flags those transactions with an excluded icon next to the amount, making it easy to include or exclude them as needed. This is how the excluded icon appears in Quicken Simplifi:
Note: Transactions with a 'Transfer' Category, including "Credit Card Payment", will always be excluded from reports, even if you select to include them. Please see here for more details on using Transfers in Quicken Simplifi.
Hide Excluded Transactions in the Spending Plan
While excluded transactions are not included in the calculations, they will still appear grayed out in the Transactions Activity view under Planned Spend and Other Spend. If you’d like to hide them from this view as well, follow the next steps:
Tap the Menu (three-line icon).
Select Spending Plan.
Tap Planned Spend or Other Spend.
Planned Spend: Click on the expense, and then click the three-dot icon in the upper right, then tap Hide excluded transactions.
Other Spend: Tap the three-dot icon in the upper right and then tap Hide excluded transactions.
Include a Transaction
If you don’t see a transaction in your Spending Plan or reports, it may be excluded. Here’s how to include it again:
Tap the Menu (three-line icon).
Select Accounts.
Select the account that has the transaction you'd like to include.
Locate the transaction you'd like to include and click on it.
Scroll down to the Exclude from section.
Check the Spending Plan or Reports box(es), whichever applies.
Tap Update when done.
