These tools make it easier to organize transactions and gain a clearer picture of your business finances.

Assigning a Client or Project to a Transaction

The Client/Project column lets you see which transactions are associated with specific clients or projects in your business. You can also assign a client or project to a transaction directly from the Transaction Activity screen.

  1. Tap the Menu (three-line icon) in the upper left corner.

  2. Select Accounts.

  3. Select the account that has the transaction you'd like to associate.

  4. Locate the transaction you'd like to associate and click on it.

  5. Scroll down to the Clients & Projects dropdown and select the applicable client or project.

Filtering Reports with Clients and Projects

Quicken Business & Personal users can now filter Profit & Loss reports by Clients & Projects or Clients.

  1. Tap the Menu (three-line icon) in the upper left corner.

  2. Select Reports.

  3. Tap Profit & Loss and select the Months tab.

  4. Tap Clients & Projects or Clients.

    • Clients & Projects: will incorporate transactions tied to all clients and projects.

    • Clients: will incorporate only transactions tied to a client and not to a project.
