While both products are owned by Quicken, Inc., there are several key differences:

  • Installation: Quicken Classic is installed locally on your computer, while Quicken Simplifi is a cloud-based application.

  • Connection Types: Quicken Simplifi only offers one connection type and does not support Direct Connect.

  • Budgeting: Quicken Simplifi focuses on tracking monthly income and spending, while Quicken Classic uses a more traditional, category-based budgeting system.

  • Bill Pay: Quicken Simplifi does not offer any type of bill pay service.

  • Investments: Quicken Classic offers more robust investment tracking features.
