Overview
By default, Quicken Simplifi updates your connected bank accounts every time you sign in. While this keeps your data current, it can also trigger multi-factor authentication (MFA) requests more often than you'd like. If you're looking to reduce these prompts or prefer less frequent updates, you can customize how often your accounts sync—daily, weekly, monthly, or only when you manually refresh.
Note: Updating these settings applies to the entire bank and cannot be set for individual accounts.
Managing Your Connection Updates
To manage when your bank updates in Quicken Simplifi:
On the top left, click on the Menu (three-line icon).
Click ⚙️Settings.
Click Accounts.
Locate the financial institution you want to update and click on the three-dot icon to the right of it.
Click Manage Updates.
In the Set Max Update Interval window, select your preferred update frequency—Always, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Never—from the available options.
Click Save Updates.
After updating the interval for your accounts with a specific financial institution, when you click into an associated account, you will see an icon underneath the balance of the account. Clicking it will allow you to change the update interval for that financial institution.
If you want to update your account(s) outside of the selected update interval set, click on the refresh icon on the top right of your Dashboard screen.
Remember that you can scroll down on your dashboard to update all your connected accounts.
