Overview

In Quicken Simplifi, accounts can be either Connected or Manual:

  • Connected accounts are linked to your bank or financial institution. Transactions and balances are updated automatically.

  • Manual accounts are not linked to a bank. You enter transactions and balances yourself—ideal for tracking cash, offline accounts, or accounts from unsupported banks.

If you'd like to stop syncing a bank account and track it manually in Quicken Simplifi, you can switch any account to manual mode. Follow the next steps to get started.

Switch a Connected Account to Manual

  1. Hover over the left panel and click Settings.

  2. Select Accounts.

  3. Locate the Account you'd like to make "manual" and click the three dots at the end of it.

  4. Select Make manual.

  5. Click Make manual to confirm.

Once done, the account will be moved down to the Manual Accounts section.

Switch a Manual Account to Connected

  1. In the Dashboard, click the + New button in the upper right of the Accounts List.

  2. Search for the financial institution that you want to connect with.

  3. Enter the User ID and Password used to sign in to your bank's website, then click Connect.

  4. When the list of accounts is presented from the bank, carefully link the account found to your existing manual account.
