Overview
Have you recently closed an account with one of your banks, or switched banks entirely, but want to keep the historical data in Quicken Simplifi? No problem! Having the ability to mark your accounts as closed will allow you to keep all of your historical data, disconnect the account from the bank, and bring the account's balance to $0. Even though the account no longer updates, it will still show in your Simplifi account list.
Note: In Quicken Simplifi, marking an account as closed is a permanent action and cannot be reversed.
Mark a Single Account as Closed
When you mark an account as closed, it will not affect other accounts at the same financial institution. All remaining accounts stay connected and continue to download transactions as usual.
Hover over the left panel and click Settings.
Select Accounts.
Locate the Account that you'd like to mark as closed and click the three-dot icon at the end of it.
Select Mark as closed.
Click Confirm.
Mark all Accounts with One Financial Institution as Closed
If you want to close all accounts with a specific financial institution, you don't need to close them individually. Instead, just mark the entire financial institution as closed by following these steps:
Hover over the left panel and click Settings.
Select Accounts.
Locate the financial institution that you'd like to mark as closed and click the three-dot icon at the end of it.
Select Mark as closed.
Click Confirm.
