Overview
If you're wondering where a transaction came from, Quicken Simplifi can help. The transaction source column shows how a transaction was added and provides information about its status. In this article, you'll learn how to identify a transaction's source and status so you can quickly understand how it was added to your account.
Note: Currently, this feature is available only for Simplifi Basic subscribers with Early Access enabled, and only via the web app.
How to Add the Source Column
Adding the Source column allows you to see how a transaction was created and its current status. To add the Source column, follow these instructions:
Hover over the left panel and select Transactions.
Click the name of the account you want to enable this column for.
Locate the Transactions section.
Click the gear icon (settings) on the far right.
Click on the Source option.
Understanding the Transaction Icons
Icon | Meaning |
 | Downloaded from your bank: Imported automatically during account sync. |
 | Manual entry: You enter this yourself. |
 | Manual entry matched: You enter this yourself and Quicken Simplifi matched it with a transaction downloaded from your bank. |
 | Repeating series: Created automatically from a recurring bill or income series. |
Matched Transactions
A link badge appears next to a manually entered or recurring series transaction when it has been matched to a downloaded transaction from your financial institution.
Transaction Status Colors
Color | Meaning |
 Orange | Pending (not yet posted by your financial institution) |
 Blue | Cleared (confirmed by your financial institution) |
