Internal: Quicken Simplifi Uses Incorrect URL for Online Banking

What to do when Quicken Simplifi uses an incorrect bank URL

Written by Andrea P

Overview

When adding or updating accounts in Quicken, you may see the bank's URL.

This article addresses how to determine and troubleshoot cases where the URL displayed in (or used by) Quicken Simplifi is incorrect.

Note: If the financial institution isn’t listed in Quicken Simplifi, see how to request it here.

Verify if Quicken Simplifi Uses the Wrong URL

The URL seen in the Add Account screen is typically referred to as the Homepage URL and is not necessarily the one we use to download transactions. If clicking on the Homepage URL takes you to the wrong website, an incorrect URL is listed.

How to fix an Incorrect Bank URL?

If the homepage URL is incorrect, the financial institution must report the URL change through https://fi.intuit.com/contactus/ as we are unable to make this type of change. We will also need to submit a report on our side to begin an investigation process.

Preparing your ticket for escalation:

If a bank displays an incorrect financial institution URL, please contact T2 so an EWC or CTP ticket can be created (depending on the FI connection).

Note: Each case should be escalated according to its specific escalation path, based on the triggered error code.

Please make sure to follow all steps in the corresponding help article for the specific error code.

For example, if the user is getting error FDP-103 (INVALID_CREDENTIALS), collect all required information and complete each step in the FDP-103 help article.

Here’s a list of help articles covering the most common errors that can occur due to an incorrect financial institution URL:
