Overview
Although there may be some limitations, the ability to track most cryptocurrencies is currently offered in Quicken Simplifi.
When manually tracking cryptocurrency, you'll simply enter the appropriate ticker symbol and the number of shares (or coins), and Quicken Simplifi will automatically display the current value and track price changes over time.
Add Cryptocurrency to an Investment Account
Hover over the left panel and click Transactions.
Under Accounts, select the investment account where you want to add cryptocurrencies.
In the upper right of the Holdings view, click the +Holding button.
In the Company name field, search for the cryptocurrency by entering its name or ticker symbol.
Enter the Shares quantity for the selected cryptocurrency.
Enter the Price per share of the selected cryptocurrency if it does not automatically populate.
Enter the Total cost (optional).
Click Add.
When connecting your investment accounts to the financial institution, tracking cryptocurrencies may be a little more challenging. Although the financial institution may accurately identify the coin, it may not provide a valid ticker symbol, which would prevent Quicken Simplifi from being able to retrieve updated price quotes.
